Work description

1. Based on the available resources, infrastructure and access, fishery and livestock development programs have been implemented as pocket packages through farmer groups/committees and cooperatives for commercial fishery and livestock farming.

2. In order to provide advanced technology and services in fishery and livestock service programs to all farmers, various trainings, visits, seminars and public awareness programs including capacity building of farmers have been implemented through groups/committees/cooperatives in collaboration with the concerned stakeholders.

3. For the diversification, market development and expansion of produced fishery/livestock and livestock products, the available technology has been used and implemented in collaboration with the concerned farmers, entrepreneurs and cooperatives.

4. The artificial insemination program has been implemented as a campaign throughout the district to replace the majority of local breed animals with advanced breed animals.

5. For the marketing of fish and livestock products, various fish shops, milk production cooperatives, dairy industries, meat shops, organized animal slaughterhouses, and animal markets have been implemented in partnership with the relevant stakeholders to standardize the infrastructure development programs.

6. The district has been developed as a resource center for advanced fish, goat, and pig farming by implementing the concept of cooperative farming in a commercial manner.
